Strange but true, Lemmy is my actual middle name. Yes, at the time I
was born my dad was a bit of a rocker, really into Motorhead. Although
I look nothing like Ian Kilminster thank goodness!

As for the blog title, Twisted Kites, I'm a really big R.E.M. fan, that
was their band name when they first started out playing bars and that,
plus I think it sounds quite groovy and catchy.

why i called myself cardy lady

back in the day when i worked for the ftse 100 'dynamic' media company and i was at the pinnacle (ha ha) of my career I worked in a trendy loft stylie office in clerkenwell with all the big wigs of the media world, those who went on to launch 'poo' and 'buts' (you know what i mean) - there was cardy lady before her alto ego had emerged - rubbing shoulders with the great and the good (i jest of course!) i used to take great pride in wearing my cardies, of course they would get very disdainful looks from those who knew the cultural importance of designer labels and a good power point presentation, anyway one day one of my colleagues was talking to a 'business decellorator' (hee hee) and they said yes cardy lady's really nice however she does wear a lot of cardies

One Idea Per Day

So called because I blog one new idea per day. Well, I did for about a month, then it all became too much. So then I blogged every few days and then once a week or so and then once a fortnight then not at all.

Then I came back! And blogged about 3 more entries before giving up again.

Right now I just have no time to blog. Rumours that I have actually run our of ideas are just RUMOURS, ok?! I have plenty of ideas. Er...hold on...it's coming...um...wait, almost there...oh bugger.

Jimi Played the Bingo Hall

I used to tell anyone who would listen that Jimi Hendrix once played at our local bingo hall. When I say play I mean he played a concert not that he turned up with his blotter pens for a 24 hour bingo marathan.

No one believed me.

After much searching I  found this (scroll to the 50's and 60's section) and lo and behold not only did Mr Hendrix play the bingo hall, so did a comprehensive list of the great and the good, Frank Sinatra, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Little Richard, Roy Orbinson.

Now it's a bingo hall and the last musical thing that happend there was some toothless piss stinking man blew a half recognisable tune from a germ ridden mouth organ.

all the things i'll never say

all the things i'll never say came to me one day while listening to avril lavigne, singing about wanting to go down on me.. quite simple really, and it fitted in really well with the stuff i was writing.

Hoo Hoo Nick

@Hoo Hoo Nick

I got my own blog on the link above, but I also blog on Idle Hands.

The name of the idle hands one, is described on the blog ittself.

Mine is easy. @Hoo Hoo Nick means: At Hoo Hoo Nick, as in At my place,
my computer, my thoughts.. pretty self-explanatory I guess.

The name Hoo Hoo Nick is given to me by the Nix BBBluesclub.
I used to write reviews for them, and around the same time I started
doing that, I send around a christmas e-card to lots of people
including them, with on it a picture of myself with a santa-hat. That's
why they named me Hoo Hoo Nick. In Dutch you pernounce it as "Ho Ho
Nick", like "Ho Ho Ho"such as santa says it and everything. Not many
people know this
