In which (to steal a phrase) I travel to our nations capital.
Next Tuesday, the 6th of February, the ever glamorous Miss Mish & Myself will be meeting in the capital for a bit of Culture & Recreation. Visiting The National Theatre. to watch 'The Man of Mode.' On Wednesday the 9th, we aim to attend The Criterion Theatre. To watch 'The 39 Steps' As well as doing 'something' during the day. Maybe a visit to Tate Modern to go on The Slides. Maybe just touristing about & getting in the way on the tube. (I won't have a rucksack, I've learned to stand on the right & feel very Metropolitan as I now have an Oyster Card.) I know it's a school night & you're all busy big city people, but if anyone fancies a couple of Tasty Beverages early doors (16:30-17:00 start) at some pub near the Theatre on Wednesday please suggest a pub. Even if you can't come out to play. Please leave some suggestions for a decent pub & some things to do/see. Places to go during the day. |

London blinks - 1 December!
Clear your diaries, it’s the social event of the century: a blinks! Not just any blinks, but a joint “hurrah, it’s nearly Christmas!” / “aww, Gamba’s leaving London” event. The date: Friday 1 December. Yes, it’s soon, but don’t go pretending you had other plans. The venue: here, you have a choice. Gamba has suggested the following Soho haunts: Crown & Two ChairmenSo, let’s open nominations for the pub of choice. How’s the date for everyone – can most people make it? It’ll be fabulous so please do come along if you can. If you’re new, so much the better. We’re honestly not that scary and are terribly welcoming after a few drinks. And if you don’t want to tell your friends you’re meeting people from the internet, then the phrase “writers’ group” has a certain cachet. One rule: no complaining about the new 20six platform. The first person to mention comment tracking has to do a forfit. |

18th October - London
I've learnt my lesson. More notice is required. So, I'm on another course in London on the 18th October. This time the venue will be the Wellington near Waterloo station because I know exactly where it is and it isn't a bad pub. Anyone want to meet me for a pint or three? (posted on behalf of Mr Frog) |
